New Business Course in Development

Navigate the global business landscape: Through a grant from the W.W. Reynolds Foundation, MBA Research is developing a new business course for high school students. Based on a course being taught at the postsecondary level, including at the University of Colorado Boulder Leeds School of Business, this course will examine the environment and context in which businesses operate.

Chart your course: The seven-unit series will introduce students to intellectual, economic, and moral considerations in the conduct of business and incorporate gaming as a method of instruction. This will be a semester-long course designed to be a part of an existing program of study or as a stand-alone course with the potential to cross grade levels. The course will be ready to pilot in the first semester of the 2025−26 school year.

We want you: Volunteers are being sought to serve on a national steering committee that will guide the development of the course in concert with MBA Research staff. Committee members will gain ground-level experience in curriculum/course development and get the first opportunity to be a grant-funded pilot/demonstration site.
