Thank you to Ann Schlapia of the Iowa Intermediary Network for joining us on our quarterly meeting with our member state representatives this month, and to Kristy Volesky, our Iowa State Consortium Representative. Ann shared how they realized the need to continue to connect Iowa students to business and industry even though this year is challenging in terms of in-person visits and internships being replaced with distance learning. Ann described how the Iowa Intermediary Network quickly created virtual events centered around their statewide standards and developed additional resources to offer their teachers and students this fall. The impact, illustrated in these slides, has been tremendous. These events are still available for download on the Iowa Intermediary Network site. The two events for business students are Small Business Entrepreneurship Panel and Growth Opportunities Within Iowa Businesses.
