Lisa Berkey is expanding her role at MBA Research to become the Director of Benchmark Programs. The former Director of the High School of Business (HSB) Program will provide expanded commitment to support program quality and brand throughout MBA Research’s various programs.
In her new role, Berkey will now add to her responsibilities by directing the growing Program Accreditation Initiative at MBA Research. There, she will promote and oversee the five-year accreditation process schools undertake for programs in management, marketing, finance or entrepreneurship.
Similar to a college accreditation process, the MBA Accreditation process helps schools develop quality programs that prepare students for college and career. Accreditation candidates work alongside MBA Research and a cohort of peers to improve their programs using research-based standards for program excellence. Schools that achieve accredited status receive national recognition.
Berkey will helm this developing program in order to expand its reach and facilitate its growth. “We are excited to welcome Lisa to this new and expanded role,” adds President James Gleason. “She will be able to leverage what we have learned with HSB for the greater good of the company.”
Berkey is still very much involved with HSB, but as that program has grown and matured, there has been a need for greater company involvement. HSB will now benefit from a wider pool of employees managing its day-to-day operations.
Berkey holds an MBA with dual concentrations in marketing and project management, as well as B.S. in marketing. Prior to joining MBA Research in 2006, she worked in brand management at Borden Foods, in sales at Kellogg’s, and as an adjunct marketing instructor at the University of Dayton. Outside of the office, Lisa enjoys hanging out with her husband and their 3 young children as well as participating in a book club, collecting 5k t-shirts, and volunteering at church and school.
